Miami Dolphins

Led by center Jim Langer, guards Larry Little and Bob Kuechenberg, tackles Norm Evans, Doug Crusan and Wayne Moore and tight ends Marv Fleming and Jim Mandich, the Dolphins became the first team in NFL history with two 1,000-yard ground gainers in the same season. Larry Csonka finished with 1,117 and Mercury Morris with 1,000. Miami also broke the 1936 Detroit Lions' record for most rushing yards in a season with 2,960. The points came from Garo Yepremian field goals of 40, 50 and 35 yards and a Earl Morrall touchdown pass to Paul Warfield.
