Career: An inspiring leader on and off the field, he capped a decade of fine play in the Dolphins secondary by being named to the Pro Bowl in 1979. Foley started 114 of the 138 games he played in as a Dolphin, including the playoffs. In his 138 games, Foley totaled 610 tackles, 22 interceptions, and seven fumble recoveries. He scored two touchdowns in a game against Baltimore (11/11/73) returning two blocked punts for scores of eight and five yards, respectively. Foley missed Super Bowl VII with a separated left shoulder. He still holds the team record with three career blocked punts. The Illinois native also is tied with two others for most blocked punts in a season with two (Curtis Johnson and Marc Logan), and his 30 total takeaways are tied for fifth all-time.
