Career: A member of one of the most prolific backfields in NFL history, Morris ranks among the Dolphins all-time leaders in numerous offensive categories. His team records include: three rushing touchdowns in a game vs. New England 11/12/72 (4,4,6) and vs. New England 9/30/73 (24,70,35), five consecutive games with a rushing touchdown (6th through 10th in 1972), highest career rushing average (5.1), highest single season rushing average (6.4 in 1973), highest single game rushing average (13.1 vs. New England 9/30/73) and combined yards in a game with 302 at Baltimore (11/1/70). He is third all-time in the following categories: 3,877 yards career rushing yards and 31 attempts in game at Green Bay (l0/5/75). His ten 100-yard rushing games ranks second in team history. His career 754 career rushing attempts ranks fourth and his 7,486 combined yards ranks sixth all-time in team annals. A three-time Pro Bowl selection (1971-73), Morris combined with Larry Csonka to amass 5,027 yards rushing in 1972 and 1973. In the 1972 season, Morris and Csonka each rushed for over 1,000 yards (1,000 and 1,117 respectively), becoming the first rushing duo in NFL history to accomplish the feat.
