Career: Originally drafted by Denver (14th round, 1968) as a quarterback, Briscoe was acquired by Buffalo in 1969 and he became the AFC's leading receiver with 57 catches for 1,036 yards in 1970. Marlin finished his career with 179 receptions for 2,897 yards and 24 touchdowns, ran the ball 46 times for 332 yards and three touchdowns, and was 97 for 230 (42.2%) passing for 1,697 yards with 14 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Briscoe was signed as a free agent in 1972 and started the first three games at wide receiver before suffering an injury during warm-ups prior to the fourth game. Briscoe was the Dolphins leading receiver in 1973 with 30 catches for 447 yards and two touchdowns.
