Career: Kiick gained over 1,000 total yards in each of his first four seasons with the Dolphins. He finished his 11-year career with 1,029 rushing attempts for 3,759 yards (3.7) and 29 touchdowns. Kiick also caught 233 passes for 2,302 yards (9.9) and four touchdowns, and completed two of three passes for 38 yards. Kiick scored four touchdowns in three 1972 playoff games. He ranks among the Dolphins all-time leading rushers with 3,644 yards (third) on 997 attempts (second), and 28 touchdowns (fourth). He set a record with his three touchdown runs against Buffalo (12/20/70) that was most recently tied twice by Karim Abdul--Jabbar during the 1997 season. Kiick's 165 rushing attempts in his rookie season of 1968, and 26 attempts in a game at Houston (10/6/68) rank fourth and tied for sixth, respectively, for rookie running backs.
