Morrall started his career in 1956 with the San Francisco 49ers as a punter, kicking 45 times for 1,705 yards (37.9). He relieved an injured John Unitas in Super Bowl V and completed seven of 15 passes for 147 yards in the Colts 16-13 victory over Dallas.
